One day, you'll be king

What a strange thing to say to any human, even more so to any child .

I imagine the first time a queen and a king told those words to their son. I pictured the moment when that took place when the father and mother explained him, with a serious tone, the implications. I thought of the exchange, that may have occurred that day:
His parents : son, one day you'll be king.

The son : But mom, dad ; what does it mean ?!?

His parents : You'll have more fields that your eyes could see, more lands that your feet could reach. People will bow to you. People will fear and respect you (mostly fear). You'll be the closest of one could be of a god on earth .

The son : ?!?......

Now then I imagine the scene when I was a child. If my parents had told me those words. Ricardo, one day you'll be a king. I seem to ear you laughing, it's ok, I'm laughing too anyways :-) That being said, it a not so far-fetched. If you add an `h` to my name and remove the `o` at the end. You got yourself a king : Richard.

I, like any parents, think of our sons and daughters like god and goddess to become. Even if all the world will say otherwise. No one can change our mind. We cannot go wrong with that ! We think of it, we feel and act like it, but we won't say it though ....

To act, think and feel it is one thing. To express in words at loud that's an all another level.

How can you interact with another soul after that. I mean truly, sincerely exchange. I think it will be almost impossible.

What I heavy bag to carry. I'm not the one to think that this is a privilege, that this is a prize. No, by all my criteria this is a burden to bear. I'm not saying that I won't enjoy it once in a while. But every day, for all my life, that no, no thank you.

The rich have been defined for a very long time in the currency of gold, money in all shapes and forms , digital, paper, minerals, and how many lands they own and how big they are. In one word : material.

The poor as the complete opposite broke, with no money, no possessions, no lands, nothing that you can touch and feel.

All this material world, even if its quantity is immense, has a start and has an end. There is a definite volume of gold and a definite surface of land. Limitations, even if they are wildly huge are limitations.

What if, the rich currency will be the imagination instead ? Wouldn't it be something ? The imagination can not be defined. It has no limitations but the one that you put on yourself. Imagine if we could monetize that .

The dreamers, the artists, the misfits and the crazy will have wealth beyond measure. And all others who aspire to be rich will become padawan dreamers at their side.

I'll never be a king, but in matter of imagination and dreams. Oh my, I will have a fortune.

It takes one to change one.
