One could imagine life as a huge parade
Filled with floats of all sorts
Big and small
Sometimes pretty and other times, well, hideous
Some noisy and others as quiet as it could be
Some with good taste and others trashy
At a crossroads in our lives
It will come to us, the call,
this silent decision that we have to take for ourself
Do we just want to be a spectator of our life ?
or do we want to be IN it ?
Do we want to watch it, see the floats passing by ?
or do we want to act, and drive them ?
Will we take the easy road and hang on someone that we never really were ?
or will we walk the rocky path and keep searching for who we really are ?
Will we let our fears control us ?
or will we learn to accept and live among them ?
From us, there is no wrong, there is no right.
There is only us trying to be true to our character, to whom we really are.
Don't we owe it to ourselves ?
